The first thing which comes to mind when thinking about Kerrie  & Kyle's wedding day is the wonderful fall weather they were blessed with on their wedding day. Their wedding ceremony and reception was at Anthony’s Pier 9 located in New Windsor, NY. The location they picked for their first look and portraits, Donahue Memorial Park in Cornwall, NY was also fantastic. It is a cute little park overlooking the Hudson river and was virtually empty when we arrived their which allowed us to move around with ease!

When we arrived at Kerrie’s hotel we noticed this tree overlooking the hills and the Hudson river. The bridesmaids were ecstatic when they saw us photographing the dress hanging off of the tree. We are of course, extra cautious handling the dress during shots like these!

One of our favorite shots from the getting ready part of the day. With so many things going around you; it’s a great idea to simply slow down and enjoy these moments. The stillness in this image calms us every time we come across it

Being able to create a variety of photographs using the same light is something we strive to achieve with each wedding we photograph. We used the morning light pouring through the window to create a stunning bright and airy photograph and then using the same light we created some very moody and dramatic shots.

Using the same light and slightly changing our perspective allowed use to create this very moody image of our stunning bride.

Kerrie looked very graceful in her wedding gown. We wanted to capture the details of her veil, her headband & that flawless makeup; and so we did!

Kerrie and Kyle opted for the first look at the Donahue Memorial Park before heading out to Anthony's Pier 9 for the wedding ceremony and reception. Hudson river in the backdrop and that warm fall sunlight skimming through the trees created a very picturesque setup. Many couples choose not to see each other before the ceremony and we respect their decisions to do so.

Maintaining a natural look while photographing the bride and groom is one of our key objectives. Many of our clients love the fact that our pictures have such a warm and non-posed feel to them. Sure, some posed pictures are always part of the gallery and we offer our guidance wherever required throughout the day. Our conscious effort though is to photograph those genuine and loving moments between each couple as much as possible.

The late afternoon sunlight bathed the entire landscape of Donahue memorial park in a soft gold color.  Those willow trees looked stunning and made for a perfect backdrop! This park was such a great find by our bride! We headed to Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor, NY after we were done photographing our bride and groom along with the bridal party.

This is of the many instances where having two wedding photographers on your wedding day is always beneficial. We were able to capture our bride and the bridesmaids in action without missing out on anything. Having a second photographer also serves as a great backup through out the entire day and also gives a fresh perspective to the entire gallery.

Many trends for wedding day tend to fade in and out; one of those is bouquet toss. We see less of it each year. We never mind photographing such moments and actually enjoy photographing it! Look at those expressions!

We love incorporating the charm of the venue whenever possible. Anthony’s pier 9 has this very interesting mirror wall with a tall chair in front of it. We grabbed our bride and groom for a few minutes and quickly grabbed this shot before wrapping up the day.
